Rook Matthews Sayer Christmas Campaign
This December we have been raising money and securing donations to help support Harbour. ⭐️
As you may remember from our campaign last Christmas and this Easter, Harbour is a refuge for women and their children, who flee domestic abuse. The families have next to nothing, with the most of them having to flee their homes with just the clothes on their backs.
By the end of our Christmas campaign there were 9 families residing at the safe houses provided by Harbour. The families were from various backgrounds, from a young mother with a new born, to a mother with five children.
We are again overwhelmed and incredibly proud of the support we have received, not only from members of the Rook Matthews Sayer family, but also Alnwick Gardens & Quay Timber, we cannot express our gratitude enough. You have all made an enormous impact on our Christmas appeal and from the bottom of our hearts we would like to say massive thank you. ❤️
We hope the children and their mothers wake up on Christmas morning with smiles on their faces and feeling the Christmas spirit. It’s very comforting to know that the community can really come to together in difficult times and work together to help support the less fortunate.
For over 40 years Harbour has worked to achieve positive outcomes for all those affected by domestic abuse. They work across Tees Valley, County Durham, Darlington and North Tyneside, supporting around 4,000 individuals a year. Domestic abuse recognises no boundaries and people can be affected regardless of their age, income, ethnic origin, gender or sexual orientation. We believe that everyone has the right to live free from abuse and violence, so we’ll continue to support individuals and their families to recover from these experiences.
You can also keep in touch with Harbour through their Website and you can find them on Facebook and Twitter.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
