Why Bamburgh, Northumberland is the UK’s best seaside town!
Which? have released the results of their annual survey, listing their best and worst seaside destinations in the UK. Once again, our fabulous local village Bamburgh has taken the top spot, once again voted as the best seaside town in the UK!
Not only has Bamburgh swooped the 2022 award, it’s actually the second year in a row, after winning in 2021. Furthermore, they were also awarded this accolade in 2019. Four times in Three years is very impressive and very deserving!
Which? asked members to rate out of 5 stars the beach, attractions, scenery, value for money – and more – for nearly 100 seaside towns and villages across the UK.
Bamburgh scored ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ on their beach, seafront, scenery, peace & quiet and value for money. Four stars on their tourist attractions, three on food and drink and 1 on shopping. Their average hotel cost in 2022 is £127. Using Which?’s algorithm Bamburgh scored a destination score of 87%! In close second place came Llandudno, Conwy with 86%. Third place was awarded to St.Andrews, Fife with 84% and joint fourth and fifth with a score of 83% was Dartmouth, Devon & Tenby, Pembrokeshire.
